Recording results
Once a match has been played, enter its result from the fixture drawer. This updates standings automatically — see Leagues for how points and tiebreakers are configured, and Fixtures & scheduling for finding and opening a fixture.
Recording a result
- Open the fixture (from the Fixtures tab, calendar, or Schedule page).
- Select Record result (or Update result if a score is already saved).
- Enter the score for each period — quarters for league matches (the number of quarters comes from the league's game timing settings) or halves (H1/H2) for tournament matches. The half-time score is worked out automatically from the periods up to the midpoint.
- Running totals show live as you type.
- Optionally add a Player of the match for each team, and any Notes.
- Select Record result.
Editing an existing result
Open the fixture again and select Update result — the form opens pre-filled with the existing scores. Change whatever needs correcting and save again.
Players of the match
Player of the match is a free-text name per team — it isn't tied to a squad list, so you can enter any name. It's optional, and can be added or changed at any time after the score is recorded; saving it doesn't require re-entering the score.
Emailing the result to teams
Once a result exists — including immediately after you save one in the same session — an Email result to teams button appears. Selecting it sends the recorded result to both teams' contacts and confirms how many recipients it reached.
Clearing a wrongly-entered result
If a result was recorded incorrectly and needs a clean slate rather than an edit:
- Open the fixture.
- Select Clear result (only shown once a match is completed).
- Confirm.
The match reverts to Scheduled with no score, ready to be recorded again from scratch.
Tip: Reach for Clear result rather than trying to zero out an incorrect score through Update result — it puts the match back to scheduled cleanly, including removing any player-of-the-match entries recorded against it.
Good to know
- Cancelled matches can't have a result recorded until they're re-opened — see Fixtures & scheduling.
- Standings and bonus-point rules react to results automatically once entered — nothing further to do on the Leagues side.
